Ella Fitzgerald - Miss Otis Regrets

I will be away for a week. I am going to Berlin actually, where those images (and Melanie) come from. As I usually do, I leave you with a series of images so you do not feel neglected. Here is a very nice lot done by Melanie after the "Miss Otis Regrets" version of Ella Fitzgerald. I Hope you like them as much as I do!

A tribute to Miles - Live in Vienna

the musicians : Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Marcus Miller
the tune : A tribute to Miles - Live in Vienna
the artist : Melanie Elfert

Champion Jack Dupree with Teddy McRae - Lonely Road Blues

the musician : Champion Jack Dupree with Teddy McRae
the tune : Lonely Road Blues

And about the image, Melanie's words : "I know the song is more Blues than Jazz, but I hope it'll get a chance. I liked the idea of combining the song's situation with some of the instruments, in a handmade, improvised and partly an honest shabby mood, as is my view on Jazz and Blues."

Well done Melanie.
