Chet Baker - Almost Blue

the musician : Chet Baker
the tune : Almost blue
the artist : Salli S. Swindell

And for those who might think the image does not illustrate the music, here is Salli's explanation : "The other night my husband was playing music and I had my ink pens out. I started drawing whatever came to mind as the music was playing… very spontaneous, very free. When my husband came into the room I asked him what the music was and he said “Chet Baker - Almost blue”. I thought it was a bit wild that I had sat there drawing waves while the song played… So I thought I would add color and so on… here it is."

Satisfied, are you?

jazz and draw takes a week of vacation

Since I will be on vacation this coming week and will therefore not be able to post, I thought I'd make one big post for you. I called up my good friend (and jazz lover) Blaise Dehon whose work you've seen here before and who made an exhibition about jazz not so long ago (you might remember that). He sent me some of the pieces he presented at this exhibition. Hope you like them.
See you in a week,

Philippe.
